1. The Edge of Seventeen (2016; Dir: Kelly Fremon Craig) - Triple F Rated
Comedy: High-school life gets even more unbearable for Nadine when her best friend, Krista, starts dating her older brother. Available on Netflix.
2. I May Destroy You (2020; Creator: Michaela Coel) TV Drama: The question of sexual consent in contemporary life and how, in the new landscape of dating and relationships, we make the distinction between liberation and exploitation. All episodes are on BBC iPlayer. We will discuss episode 1, but feel free to continue watching if you enjoy the pilot!

I Shot My Parents - The story of American teenager Nathon Brooks who at the age of 14 shot his mother and father while they slept. Incredibly they both survived and are trying to come to terms with what their son did.

The theme for September will be MARITIME to mark World Maritime Day 2020 on Thursday 24th September so please put your [pirate] hats on, and bring your suggestions to the [captain's] table for our August meeting (or via email if you can’t make it). I'm confident we can create a list of titles for this theme that we can SINK our teeth into. I'll stop now...
